The cover design reproduces the original dust jacket art by Eve Bloomfield adapted from the Universe card designed by Aleister Crowley and painted by Frieda Harris. As far as we can ascertain this is an "unauthorized" reissue of the first edition of this title which was edited and introduced by Francis King originally published in 1973, but with additional material. Interestingly the book has been completely reset - with the footnotes moved to the end of the volume - and the anonymous publisher has usefully added in two additional works "De Arte Magica" [Liber CDXIV] (a Crowleyan sex magick ritual which was inadvertently omitted from the original edition of "The Secret Rituals of the O.T.O." and therefore added as an appendix to King's edition "Crowley on Christ") and "Nine Degree Emblems and Modes of Use", one of the more straight-forward Crowleyan sex-magick texts.
The volume was withdrawn from circulation almost immediately after its release due to infringement of copyright so copies are genuinely rare. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications.
