Hermetic Magick. A Window on the Rose Cross and Hermetic Tradition; Part 1 The Rose Cross and Hermetic Tradition. Part 2 History and Philosophy of Hermetic Magick

NP [ UK ]: New Order Publications, 1972. First Edition. Softcover. Quarto. 11.5 x 8.5". 64pp. Original white wrappers with Baphomet illustration and title in black on upper cover, clip bound. Somewhat basic production values - appears to be reproduced from a typescript, pages printed on both sides. The author apparently belonged to a group called the Hermetic Order of the New Dawn. According to the Introduction the point of the treatise is 'to untangle the great number of threads of mysticism that have come to be wound round Rosicrucianism.' An unusual work - we find no references to it. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Covers a bit darkened with a few light marks from handling, page edges thumbed, a few light creases to corners, UK occult bookshop inkstamp on title page, internally clean and unmarked. Overall a tight, VG+ copy. Usual. Item #65702
