Thick octavo. xxxiv (ii) + 1134pp. Original quarter black pebbled cloth over maroon faux-leather boards, gilt title, etc. to spine and front board, black endpages. Illustrations. Regardie's personal 'best of,' selected from the ten massive volumes which make up the first series of Crowley's 'Equinox.' This edition includes a 2 page 'Comment' by Christopher S. Hyatt not included in the first edition. Although not designated a limited edition the 1982 printing was produced in the same format as the Falcon Press limited editions of "Magic Without Tears" and "The Eye in the Triangle," and probably also had a relatively small print run, as it is not common. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications.
