Butler who wrote the renowned series of literary/historical studies which began with 'The Myth of the Magus.' It includes a quite substantial section on her meeting with Aleister Crowley at Netherwood, despite her protestations that she "did not take him seriously." From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Very light bruising and chafing to spine ends, top edge darkened and a bit dusty, else a tight, bright and unmarked VG+ copy in better-than VG dust jacket. (Dust jacket a bit chafed at all edges with a few tiny chips and tears causing slight loss at head and tail of spine, rear panel a little darkened, price clipped.
