Item #65839 Energized Enthusiasm. Aleister CROWLEY.

Energized Enthusiasm.

Allentown, PA: The Occult Emporium, ND [ circa 1980 ]. Unauthorized reprint. Softcover. Octavo. 30pp. B&w illustrated gold stapled wrappers. Minus the copyright page, this is an (almost certainly unauthorised?) reprint by a bookshop in Pennsylvania of the Samuel Weiser republication of Crowley's sex-magick essay "Energized Enthusiasm" which originally appeared in "The Equinox," Volume 1, Number 9, at the Spring Equinox of 1913. The wrappers are printed on dull yellow card, rather than the semi gloss white background of the Weiser, and all mentions of Weiser are removed, although it quotes the advertisement on the rear wrapper almost verbatim, simply replacing Weiser's name and address with their own. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Simply produced, covers rubbed and a little darkened, label with owner's name on inside front cover, faded patch obscuring some text of advertisements on rear panel, price sticker shadow on first page, else a tight, unmarked VG+ copy. Most unusual. Item #65839
