An attractive reprint edition of this collection of Irish myths and folk lore, collected by American linguist and folklorist Jeremiah Curtin (1835 – 1906) and originally published in 1890. Includes 20 folk tales representing hundreds of years of the collective Irish imagination: stories of battles with giants, the dead coming back to life, humans imprisoned in animals' bodies, etc. A bit of light shelf wear, spine ends a little bruised and chafed, page edges darkened, else a tight, unmarked VG+ copy.
