Cyril Meir Scott (1879 – 1970) was an English composer, writer, and poet who perhaps was best known for his three volume "Initiate" series which tells the story of “Justin Moreward Haig” an initiate or adept of high attainment along Theosophical lines. This is the stated first US edition of this work in which Scott explores "modern" paths of occultism, including those of Steiner, Spiritualism and Theosophy, as well as the beliefs that underpin them. Very light rubbing to cover edges, spine slightly darkened, faint bruising to lower spine, page edges &pages lightly browned, bookseller label front pastedown, else a tight, bright and unmarked VG+ in VG+ dust jacket (Dust jacket is lightly chipped at spine ends and edges of folds, not clipped.
