Numerous black and white illustrations, b&w frontispieces one with tissue guard. Two parts in one volume, combining two works which were previously separately published. It was intended as a "complete and accurate working-book for all the degrees, from the first to that of the Knight Templar. Each of the two parts has its own title page and frontispiece. Cloth darkened and somewhat heavily rubbed particularly at edges and points, corners and spine ends well chafed with some light fraying, page edges darkened, endpapers browned and discoloured, owner's name on front blank, foxing and browning to tissue guard and adjacent first title page, text pages browned, faint tidemark to extreme lower corner of first twenty or so pages, a few creased corners, no markings to text.
