Octavo. iv + 204pp. Full black leather with silver embossing to upper board and silver lettering to spine, all edges gilt, black endpages, b&w illustrations, tables. Most likely one of a kind, this copy bound in leather for the author and thus from his library. Later SIGNED, INSCRIBED and SIGILIZED by Savedow to Clive Harper on the title page: "To Clive Harper / With best wishes, / Steve Savedow. / I.P.S.D.A. / Author's copy / [Hexagram]." Hence most recently from the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. The label can easily be removed without affecting the page, although it would be a shame not to preserve this record of the book's provenance. The book is Savedow's practical guide to working with "The Goetia" - as described in the first book of "The Lesser Key of Solomon." Included are "transcripts from the author's personal records documenting nine evocations that were performed between the years of 1985 and 1987 ..." Covers lightly rubbed, a few natural imperfections in the leather - otherwise in near Fine condition. No dust jacket - as issued. Item #65964
