London: Psychic Press, 1948. First edition. Yorke Hardcover. Small octavo. 204pp. + 4pp. adverts. Yellow cloth lettered in red on spine. Geraldine Cummins (1890-1969) was a medium and spiritualist author best known for her series purported to be channeled from the spirit of Cleophas, one of St. Paul's followers. This book, published a few years after the end of the Second World War, consists of a series of letters said to have been dictated to Cummins "from the other side" describing the arrival of the newly dead, the broader experiences of a family "in the world after death" etc.
Boards a little splayed (would probably flatten out if placed under a heavy object for a time), partially erased pencilled owner's details and small Psychic News Bookshop stamp on front free endpaper, endpapers lightly foxed, else a tight, clean VG+ copy in G dust jacket (dust jacket slightly rubbed & discolored, back panel foxed, a number of chips and tears to edges, now protected by removable mylar sleeve).
