Item #66109 Unassuaged Altruism, The Complete & Unabridged Charitable Works of Aleister Crowley. Aleister CROWLEY, "Sensitively, A Leading World Scholar", Richard T. Cole.

Unassuaged Altruism, The Complete & Unabridged Charitable Works of Aleister Crowley.

[United Kingdom]: A Little Sunshine Production, 2011. First Edition. Softcover. Octavo. 93pp. Glossy illustrated covers, b&w illustrations. Described as the "Red Knob" edition limited to 666 copies (without doubt far less), it is - as the title suggests an elaborate joke. Altruism was not, of course, a virtue that Crowley particularly admired or practiced, so apart from a few pages the whole books is blank - save for a fake printed watermark. Produced by the enfant terrible of British Thelemic publishing Richard T. Cole. This copy in the original bag in which it was despatched, and includes "crime scene" overwraps and bookmark, and publisher's printed message. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discrete book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Appears "as new" - thus in Fine condition. Item #66109
