The Chinese Writings of Ko Yuen.

New York, NY: NV Temple Press, 1993. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Octavo. iv + 172 pp. Frontis and b&w illustrations. A scarce collection of Crowley's renderings of Chinese texts. Edition limited to 169 hand-numbered copies, this being No. 15. This copy also SIGNED by Gerald Del Campo, at the end of the Foreword. Contents include: Foreword. Tao Teh King. Yi King. Khing Kang King. Hexagram Key. Qabbalist Diagram. Appendixes. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discrete book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. The label can easily be removed without affecting the page, although it would be a shame not to preserve this record of the book's provenance. The volume is scarce as the spine is only glued, and many have fallen apart of the years. This copy is overall VG+ but like all copies of this edition is fragile, and if not treated with great care the binding will crack and the pages come loose. Covers lightly rubbed, light creasing to spine, edges and points a little chafed, page edges lightly thumbed, internally clean. So a tight, unmarked VG+ copy, but care will be needed for it to remain in this state. Item #66164
