A4 (11 3/4 x 8 1/4 inch) magazine-style stapled booklet. 32pp. Glossy white wrappers printed and illustrated in green and red. Text and illustrations printed in dark brown. A curious momento of the times in which it was published, includes an overview of the history, botany and use of marijuana / hashish along with guides to related criminal laws, food and drink recipes etc. It includes a number of long quotes from Aleister Crowley. The Unicorn Bookshop of Brighton, England, was an avante-garde / alternative bookshop that also produced a number of small publications. They were behind the piratical "Booklegger Albion" imprint ("Booklegger" = "Bootlegger", "Albion" = "England": thus English [book] Pirate) and published a number of small works by Aleister Crowley at a time when little by the Beast was in print and questions regarding the Crowley copyright were very much unresolved. The volume has copyright dates of 1971 & 1973, but we can find no record of a 1971 edition. Light rubbing and signs of handling to covers - else a tight, bright VG+ copy. Unusual. Item #66203
