The first American edition of "The Jewel Ornament of Liberation" ("dam chos yid bzhin nor bu thar pa rin po che'i rgyan") a survey of Tibetan Buddhism, with descriptions of special training, the practice of the six perfections, and a definition of Buddhahood by tantric master and Kagyu lineage holder bsod nams rin chen (1079–1153) (also known as sgam po pa: "the man from Gampo"). A bit of chafing to all edges and extremities, spot fading to cloth at edges of boards, lower spine bumped and rubbed, owner's name on page fore-edge and front blank, pages toned but clean and unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket a bit worn creased and chipped at all edges and folds, a bit of spot browning, a few tiny tears, spine faded, not price clipped. Dust jacket now covered in protective mylar.) Surprisingly scarce in this hardcover edition. Item #66247
