This copy INSCRIBED to the original owner on the front blank: "Godfrey Rice / from the Writer / July 1927". An exploration of the content and meanings of dreams by Mary Arnold-Forster (1861–1951). Arnold-Forster kept a detailed record of her dreams, which she examined in detail in an attempt to understand them. In particular she was taken with the idea of being able to control dreams, to explore lucid dreaming, and to understand nightmares, their symbolism, and what might be done to avoid or at least disempower them.
