Item #66312 Original prospectus for Magick (also known as Magick in Theory and Practice, or Book Four / Book 4, Part III). Aleister CROWLEY, The Master Therion.

Original prospectus for Magick (also known as Magick in Theory and Practice, or Book Four / Book 4, Part III).

Paris: (Lecram Press), ND (1929). First Edition. A single sheet of this paper, folded once to give 4 quarto pages (10 3/4" x 7 1/2"). The first page announces the publication of the book and give a brief description of its aim and scope; the remaining three pages are headed "Synopsis of Contents" and list the titles of twenty-two chapters and six appendices and give a brief description of the content of each. Hailed by Crowley as "the first complete treatise on Magick to be published", "Magick" (or Book 4, Part IV) is commonly regarded as his Magnum Opus. The contents of the published book were somewhat different to those listed in this prospectus (and on its actual ‘Contents Page’), with an additional appendix (number VII) being added, and changes made to the order and composition of some of those preceding it. One inch darkened stip across the top of the first "page" Slightly dusty, and with some heavy creases - it has obviously been folded a number of time. Still VG condition. Item #66312
