The Martinist Tradition. Volume 1.

Barbados, West Indies: The International College of Martinist Studies Inc, 1987. First Edition. Softcover. Quarto. 122pp. White card covers titled in black and red. The first issue of this scarce Martinist periodical that examines this esoteric tradition, and its connections to Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, Christianity, Kabbalah, and other spiritual streams. It commences with a Preface and Foreword by Rene Cossey, and then continues on with a series of essays by "Papus": "Saint-Martin and Martinism"; "Saint-Martin and Freemasonry"; "Contemporary Martinism"; 'The Doctrine of Martin Pasquales"; "Willermoz' Certificate of Initiation"; "The Work of Realization History of Early Freemasonry in France". These are followed by two sections: "Martinist Operative and General Ritual" and "Catechism of the Elus Cohen" each of which is divided into a number of sub-sections. Light rubbing to covers and chafing to edges, a few light pencil marks to the margins (could be erased with a little patience) - else a tight, VG copy. Very scarce. Item #66434
