The first issue of this scarce Martinist periodical that examines this esoteric tradition, and its connections to Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, Christianity, Kabbalah, and other spiritual streams. It commences with a Preface and Foreword by Rene Cossey, and then continues on with a series of essays by "Papus": "Saint-Martin and Martinism"; "Saint-Martin and Freemasonry"; "Contemporary Martinism"; 'The Doctrine of Martin Pasquales"; "Willermoz' Certificate of Initiation"; "The Work of Realization History of Early Freemasonry in France". These are followed by two sections: "Martinist Operative and General Ritual" and "Catechism of the Elus Cohen" each of which is divided into a number of sub-sections. Light rubbing to covers and chafing to edges, a few light pencil marks to the margins (could be erased with a little patience) - else a tight, VG copy. Very scarce. Item #66434
