A single issue of the professionally produced journal, Antiquarian Book Monthly Review. This issue features an essay on "The Necronomicon" "The Book that Never Was" by Roger Dobson. The author of the essay, Roger Alan Dobson (1954–2013), was an Oxford-based author, bibliophile editor, and literary researcher who had a particular interest in the life and works of Arthur Machen. Tipped onto the first page of the journal is a 50 word autograph letter, signed, from Dobson to Clive Harper, in which he briefly discusses the essay. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications.
