The editor, Jabez Richardson, a former Freemason, first published this expose of Masonic rites and rituals - his "Practical Guide to the Ceremonies in All the Degrees conferred by Masonic Lodges, Chapters, Encampments, &c, explaining the Signs, Tokens and Grips, and citing all the Words, Pass Words, Sacred Words, Oaths, and Hieroglyphics Used by Masons" in 1860, this is an attractive more modern reprint, sized for ease of carrying in one's pocket. A bit of ordinary shelf rubbing and wear from use, a couple of white spots to cloth on front cover, spine darkened, pages browned but internally clean and unmarked.
