Eight Lectures on Yoga. The Equinox Volume III, Number Four.

Dallas, TX: Sangreal Foundation, Inc., 1969. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Octavo. 80pp. Original textured blue cloth with silver title etc. to upper board and spine. Frontis portrait of Crowley. This copy INSCRIBED and SIGNED by Israel Regardie on the front blank: "The Summer Solstice, For Alexandria, with my compliments, Francis I. Regardie". Although we have been unable to identify the "Alexandria" it was presumably someone close to Regardie as he has signed the book as "Francis", which was his actual first name, and the name by which his friends knew him. Widely regarded as one of Crowley's best works, and as one of the wittiest and most insightful studies of the subject ever written by a Westerner. This edition with a specially written Introduction by Crowley's one time secretary and life-time occultist in his own right, Israel Regardie. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Light rubbing to covers, spine ends a bit bruised, adhesive mark on front pastedown from large bookplate no longer present, small penned number on front blank, light foxing to last few leaves. Else a tight, unmarked VG+ copy. (This 1969 edition was issued without dust jacket.). Item #66602
