'My Dear Aleister', Creating the Crowley Harris Tarot (Including Letters Between Lady Frieda Harris and Aleister Crowley).

NP: Privately published, ND ( 2009 ). First Edition - First Issue. Softcover. Quarto. Not paginated (approx 100pp). Illustrated in b&w. A self-published Print on Demand work on Aleister Crowley, Frieda Harris and the Thoth Tarot. This is the true first issue of the work - apparently the title-page and most of the headings were typeset in "Noir et Blanc" which was interpreted by the printer as "WingDings" and thus came out as garbage! The actual text is not affected. The first 30 or so pages include extensive quotes from letters by Freida Harris - mostly to Aleister Crowley during WW2 and the text of a short "Lecture on the Tarot" by Lady Frieda Harris (sic). The remainder of the book is a "self-help manual" on reading the tarot cards by Packwood. Included is a handwritten and signed postcard from the author to Clive Harper: "At last the book has arrived. Please would you put a note about it in The Magickal Link......... Blessings, Marlene". Thus from the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Very light edge rubbing else and light crease to rear cover - else in Fine condition. Item #66629
