Vanity Fair, London. 1908 - 1909. Stories from the Notebook of Aleister Crowley 1902- 1905.

NP: Nuit / Hadit 31/418/93 Publications MMV, 2005. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Quarto. (11.75 x 8.25 inches). Eccentrically paginated [ 64pp ]. Clip bound coated thick white wrappers, printed in black on both covers, colour sigil on rear, blue title page. Edition limited to 50 copies, this being copy No. 26. The volume reprints three autobiographical travel narratives by Crowley that were originally serialised in the British edition of "Vanity Fair" magazine between February and November 1909: "On A Burmese River. From the Note Book of Aleister Crowley," "The Expedition To Chogo Ri. Leaves From the Note Book of Aleister Crowley," and "Kangchenjanga: The Story of the 1905 Expedition" (Kangchenjanga being a non-standard spelling of Kangchenjunga). Original copies of the journal are exceedingly rare and copies of 2 of the 19 issues that contained installments could not be located, and are thus not included in this collection. From the library of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear.
