Uniformly bound in series blue cloth with gilt titling to spines. The first four volumes of the projected twelve volume series (at the time of cataloguing, ten volumes have so far been published). Vol. I is the third printing of the UK edition, Vol. II is the second printing of the UK Edition, Vol. III and Vol. IV are both first UK editions. Marsilio Ficino (1433 – 1499) was a scholar, astrologer, philosopher and theologan who enormously influential in shaping the Italian Renaissance. He is particularly remembered as a translator of Plato's works into Latin, and for his espousal of Neoplatonism. All show just very light shelf wear, a few lightly bumped corners and spine ends, paper lightly toned, "Cygnus Book Club" labels on lower edge of each title page.
