A handsomely produced popular introduction to the myths, legends and beliefs of China and Japan, and which includes chapters on dragon myths and the symbolism related to jade, amongst many others. The author, Donald Alexander Mackenzie ( 1873 – 1936) was a Scottish journalist, folklorist and a prolific writer on religion, mythology and anthropology in the early 20th century.
