A follower's collection of memorable glimpses of Hazrat Inayat Khan (1882 –1927) founder of The Sufi Order in the West in 1914 (London) and a teacher of Universal Sufism who wrote extensively on the subject of Sufism for Western readers. The author offers short pieces of various aspects of Khan's personality under the headings: The Man, The Murshid, The Saint, The Master, and The Prophet, and concludes with three poems. Light shelf wear, cloth lightly rubbed at spine ends and points, bump to lower spine, endpapers unevenly browned, one largish and one small rubbed spot (old erasure) and book shop label on front pastedown, pages toned but unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG+ copy. (no dust jacket). Scarce in first edition. Item #66782
