Small quarto. lxviii + 582pp. Bright green cloth with gilt lettering to spine and upper board, b&w frontis and illustrations, index. Volume I (of III) of this collection of writings of Theosophist and author William Q. Judge drawn largely from his contributions to the periodical "The Path" (1886-1896), which was conceived, edited and written by Judge. Judge passed away in March 1896 just a month after it was announced that the "The Path" was to be renamed: "Theosophy" to better characterize its focus. Along with many articles from "The Path", this volume includes Judge's "Occult Tales"; "A Weird Tale"; and Judge's monograph on "Cyclic Impression and Return and Our Evolution" among many other essays. Very light shelf wear, small ink stamp on lower page edge, errata glued to front blank, page edges a bit thumbed - still overall a tight, clean VG+ copy in VG dust jacket.
