This copy inscribed and signed by the author on the half title page to author Harvey Howells who wrote a number of books, including: "Dowsing for Everyone: Adventures and Instruction in the Art of Modern Dowsing." Also included is a friendly ALS - a hand-written note, signed - on a piece of yellow lined paper from the author to Howells discussing the exchange of their respective books on the subject. The first edition of this comprehensive history of the art of searching for water, oil, minerals, and other resources - or anything lost, missing or badly needed. Just very light rubbing and fading to cover edges, page edges a bit darkened and lightly foxed, little pale foxing to the preliminaries, otherwise a tight, clean VG+ copy in near VG dust jacket. (Dust jacket a bit darkened and discoloured overall, all edges and points lightly worn, creased and chipped, a few short tears, not clipped. Now in mylar cover).
