Witchcraft the Old Religion.
Secaucus, N.J. University Books, ND (ca. 1973). Hardcover. Large octavo. 287pp. Yellow cloth with blue metallic titling to spine, bibliography. A wide-ranging look at the roots of witchcraft as practiced in modern day, differentiating between "True Witches", "Old Religionists", Pop Witches, etc - by Leo Martello (1931-2000) an outspoken author, gay activist, follower of the Strega tradition and founder of the Witches Anti-Defamation League. The publishers, University Books, were not very good at identifying specific editions. This copy has neither copyright date or indication that it is a reprint, so it is probably an early reprint, although it is possible it is a first edition. Just a little shelf wear and darkening to the light coloured cloth, a little flecking to the edges, pages lightly toned, tiny chip to bottom of title-page, but internally bright and unmarked. Overall a tight, bright VG+ copy in VG dust jacket. (Dust jacket foxed on reverse side, a bit of light rubbing to edges and points, rear panel browned, price clipped. Now protected in mylar cover).
