The first American edition of this popular study of "the Devil and his agents, whether real or imaginary, acting in the world of man." Despite its somewhat breathless tones, the author, Eric Maple (1916-1994) was a serious scholar of folk-lore, with a real knowledge of British witchcraft. Corners and spine ends lightly bumped and rubbed, page edges a bit darkened, pages lightly toned with a tiny bit of light scattered foxing.
