Item #67058 Magick in Theory and Practice. Aleister CROWLEY.

Magick in Theory and Practice.

Secaucus NJ: Castle Books, ND ( circa 1970s ). Reprint. Hardcover. Large octavo. xxviii + 436pp. Original beige papered boards with black title, etc. to spine. An early 1970s printing of the Castle edition of Crowley's "Magick in Theory and Practice" (Book Four, Part III), generally described as the Beast's magnum opus. The Castle edition was reprinted in reduced format facsimile from the original 1929 Paris edition. In its first printing (circa 1960) the Castle edition was the First US edition of this work. Unfortunately most of the Castle printings were undated and it is different to tell them apart - thought this issue dates from the early 1970s. Light overall shelf wear to covers with some light spotting to rear board, page edges darkened and discoloured, lower edge of the text block and boards spotted (coffee splash?), corners and spine ends lightly bumped, endpapers discoloured and darkened, pages toned but no marks. Overall a tight, unmarked near VG copy in near VG dust jacket. Dust jacket now in mylar cover). Item #67058
