An unusual edition of this quirky magical / philosophical masterpiece by Crowley which was first published by Crowley's successor, Karl Germer in 1962. Although the rear cover is printed "Unicorn, Seattle" the book was actually produced by The Unicorn Bookshop of Brighton, England, which semi-clandestinely reproduced a number of Crowley booklets in the early 1970s. As far a we know this edition of "Liber Aleph" - which faithfully reproduces the Karl Germer' publication of1961 but in smaller format and with errata corrected on the page - is the only substantial Crowley book that Unicorn published, and is actually the first UK publication of the text. This copy from the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. A bit of light general shelfwear, fore-edge a bit thumbed. Overall a tight, unmarked VG copy. Scarce. Item #67082
