An offprint from the Transactions of the Royal Society of Literature, Volume XII. The work itself is an examination of the Eddas, in which the author sought to identify those that have a "substratum of genuine, i.e., antique Teuton beliefs which lie at the bottom of them" and those which have "foreign and intrusive elements." Light overall shelf wear, a few light marks to boards, spine ends chafed with some very minor loss, else a tight and unmarked VG+ copy of this scarce edition. Item #67329
