[ Seven, Seven, Seven ] 777 vel Prolegomena Symbolica Ad Systemam Sceptico-Mysticae Viae Explicandae, Fundamentum Hieroglyphicum Sanctissimorum Scientiae Summae [Seven Seven Seven ].

NP [ San Francisco ]: Level Press, ND [ 1971 ]. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Small octavo. [5 x 8 inches] xxviii + 155pp. Textured off-white wrappers lettered horizontally in dark blue across the front wrapper, spine lettered in blue, b&w portrait of Crowley following title page. An unusual and somewhat scarce printing of Crowley's "777" - apparently based on the Yorke/Germer edition of 1955. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Light shelf wear to covers with a bit of uneven darkening and a few marks from handling, light rubbing to edges, book shop and owner's inkstamps to front endpapers, front blank unevenly browned - else a tight, internally bright VG copy of this scarce and fragile edition (being "perfect bound" it will need to be handled with care or it will shed pages - as was doubtless the fate of most of the other volumes in its printing).
