Liber V vel Reguli. A.'. A.'. publication in Class D. Being the Ritual of the Mark of the Beast: an incantation proper to invoke the Energies of the Aeon of Horus, adapted for the daily use of the Magician of whatever grade.

NP [ Berkeley CA ]: Private, ND [ Circa 1980s ]. First Edition Thus. Softcover booklet. Octavo. (12pp). White stapled wrappers lettered in black on upper cover. Text printed in black. As far as we can ascertain this is the first separately-published edition of this important text, which was first published as one of the rituals in Appendix VI of "Magick in Theory & Practice." Careful examination reveals that the text in the booklet is a facsimile of pages 411-422 of the 1973/1974 Symonds and Grant edition of "Magick", which includes additional footnotes by Kenneth Grant. Despite the simplicity of the booklet some care has gone into its production: the wrappers are a slightly different paper to the text pages, and the text has either been properly printed, or (more likely) it has has been reproduced on a very high quality photocopier as it does not have the slight fuzziness of most older photocopies. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Simple production values - the text on a couple of pages a little lighter than the rest - but still a fresh clean VG+ copy with just light darkening at the edges. Scarce. Item #67706
