Original green publisher's cloth with gilt lettering to spine and upper board, blind border on upper board, b&w illustrations, index. Harriette Augusta and F. Homer Curtiss were ardent Theosophists who founded of The Order of Christian Mystics and The Universal Religious Foundation and who wrote a number of texts on Christian mysticism based on the Western Mystery School Tradition. In addition to their books, they offered their teachings through a system of correspondence as well as through frequent public lectures. This volume is the sequel to their “The Key to the Universe” or “A Spiritual Interpretation of Numbers and Symbols” and covers the symbolic meaning of the numbers 11 - 22, in specific relation to the Hebrew alphabet and the tarot cards as well as presenting "for the first time the origin of the zodiac and the philosophical and geometrical reason why there are 12 signs, 12 apostles, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 months, etc." Just a hint of shelf wear, bruising to corners, page edges a bit darkened and pages lightly toned, Distributor's label on lower edge of title page, text unmarked.
