Collection of essays by Charles Webster Leadbeater (1854-1934); a prominent, if controversial, member of the Theosophical Society, co-founder of the Liberal Catholic Church, and author of many books on Theosophy and various aspects of occultism. Covers rubbed and spot faded and discoloured, corners and spine ends a bruised and chafed, page edges darkened, bookplates on both front pastedowns and front blanks, old NYC Weiser bookshop label, pages toned but clean and unmarked. Both volumes appear to have been exposed to light damp at some point leaving boards and text block lightly warped, very light ripple and stiffness to pages. One gathering in first volume sprung. A complete, basically sound but Good only set of the first US editions (no dust jackets). Item #67854
