A collection of essays on Böhme and the mystical path, most of which were published in "Light" and similar spiritualist and Theosophical journals. Includes an Introductory essay on the author (itself extracted from 'Light') by Charles Carleton Massey, first President of the British Theosophical Society. A bit of ordinary shelf wear, corners and spine ends lightly bumped and chafed with a bit of light fraying, page edges darkened, page edges darkened, endpapers unevenly browned. Endpaper hinges starting and a little tender - but still holding. Pages toned with some light scattered foxing to early and later pages, tidy & thoughtful owner's notes and underlines commencing at title page and here and there throughout. Overall a Good copy of the uncommon First Edition. (no dust jacket). Item #67858
