Warmly INSCRIBED on the half-title page by "Bill" (William Breeze: Hymenaeus Beta - Frater Superior of the O.T.O.) to Crowley scholar Martin P. Starr. This is especially unusual, as the publication was highly controversial, not least because it includes virtually all the known "secret" rituals of the O.T.O., including much previously unpublished material. Indeed the publication of the book triggered a copyright challenge against the publishers by the O.T.O., which ultimately resulted in the book's withdrawal from sale. Martin P. Starr is well known within Thelemic circles as the author of "The Unknown God", an editor of Crowley texts, and co-founder of the Teitan Press. With Martin's personalised "post it note" with his printed name on it inserted for use as a book mark. Given its publishing history, a copy of "O.T.O. Rituals and Sex Magick" that is inscribed by the head of the O.T.O., is, if not unique - very close to it! A gently read, but unmarked copy. Covers a bit darkened and lightly curled and chafed at edges and extremities, a few light marks to covers from handling, light creasing to spine. Still an internally clean and unmarked VG copy with an extraordinary provenance. Item #68146
