Small octavos (6 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches). 62 (+ii)pp. Two unbound copies (possibly proof copies?) of the 1981 Thelema publications edition of "The Book of the Law" - the final printing of the book to be undertaken by Helen Parsons Smith. One example is of the deluxe edition (Limited to 200 numbered copies - this copy un-numbered) and one of the regular edition. The sets of sheets are identical, except that the deluxe edition has the "limitation statement" printed on the page facing the title-page is printed on white/cream paper, and the regular edition is printed on very pale-yellow ribbed paper. The sheets of the standard editions are sewn, those of the regular edition unsewn. Although not marked as such the volumes are from the archive of the publisher, Helen Parsons Smith: Soror Grimaud (1910- 2003), a IXth degree member of the O.T.O, and long term member of Agape Lodge in California, who was for a time married to Jack Parsons, whom she divorced, and later married founder and long time head of Agape Lodge, Wilfred Talbot Smith (1885-1957). Helen was played a critical role in the re-establisment of the O.T.O. in the early 1970s, and was a pioneer of modern Crowley publishing with her Monthelema / Thelema Publications imprints. More recently from the collection here friend, Martin P. Starr, who is best-known in Thelemic circles as the author of "The Unknown God", an essayist and editor of Crowley texts, and co-founder of the Teitan Press. Each copy has one of Martin's personalised "post it notes" with his printed name on it inserted loosely for use as a book mark. Both volumes in near-Fine condition. Item #68203
