Olla. An Anthology of Sixty Years of Song. Aleister CROWLEY, John Symonds -.

Olla. An Anthology of Sixty Years of Song.

London: First Impressions, 1992. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Large Quarto. vi + 128pp. Series cream coloured wrappers lettered and illustrated dark blue, b&w frontisportrait of Crowley by Augustus John. This edition has a new Introduction especially written for it by Crowley's first biographer, John Symonds and this copy is SIGNED by Symonds on the half title page. "Olla" was originally published in 1947, and was Crowley's own selection of his best poetry, and the last of his books to be published in his own lifetime. This edition is one of the First Impressions series of rare works by Aleister Crowley and others. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Just the faintest of bruising to corners, faint ripple to inner margin of title page. Otherwise appears unused, thus a lovely near Fine copy of this scarce edition. Item #68258
