York Beach, ME: Samuel Weiser Inc., 1998. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Large Octavo, xiv + 454pp. Black cloth with gilt title, etc. to spine, gilt device on front cover, illustrations, index. By far the best edition of this important collection of magical texts. This copy from the library of British artist, writer and musician DAVID TIBET (founder of the music group Current 93) with his OWNERSHIP SIGNATURE and "David Hall's copy" in his writing on the blank facing the title-page. The book had thus earlier belonged to his friend, David Hall (1942-2007), author of "Beelzebub and the Beast", and numerous shorted pieces, and the editor and publisher of "Sothis" magazine. Loosely inserted are fourteen small pages of Hall's handwritten notes on the book. In addition to the details of 'Vision and the Voice' working this volume includes details of a number of Crowley's other magical operations, notably The Paris Working (with Victor Neuburg), The Ab-ul-Diz Working, and the Bartzabel Working. It also includes a number of his diary entries for the years 1909-1914. Just a hint of shelf wear, page edges very slightly foxed, very faintly musty - still a tight, clean VG+ copy in a mylar protected VG+ dust jacket. (Dust jacket lightly rubbed, not clipped).
