The author, Martin Booth (1944 – 2004), was a publisher, poet and novelist, who was short-listed for the 1998 Booker Prize. He also edited the first mainstream modern selection of Aleister Crowley's poetry. Although his biography of Crowley is not one of the better known studies, it is certainly not without its merits. This copy from the library of British artist, writer and musician DAVID TIBET (founder of the music group Current 93) with his OWNERSHIP SIGNATURE on the half title page. Page edges a bit darkened and foxed, else a tight, bright near Fine copy in very lightly rubbed near Fine dust jacket ( Dust jacket now in removable mylar protector ). Item #68403
