Item #68421 The Equinox of the Gods. Aleister CROWLEY, With Note to the Facsimile, Hymenaeus Beta, From the David Tibet collection.

The Equinox of the Gods.

Scottsdale, AZ: The O.T.O. & New Falcon Publications, 1991. Corrected Facsimile Edition. Softcover. Octavo (9 x 6 inches) [viii]. 138pp [70pp]. Editorial note, b&w frontis, colour insert reproducing the obverse and reverse of "the Stele of Revealing". The first softcover printing of this "corrected" facsimile edition of Crowley's first major published study of the origins of "The Book of the Law." This copy from the library of British artist, writer and musician DAVID TIBET (founder of the music group Current 93) with his OWNERSHIP SIGNATURE on the front blank. The book comprises "The Summons," "A Summary," a long essay by Crowley "Genesis Libri AL", the text of "Liber CCXX", a facsimile of the manuscript ("Liber XXXI") reproduced at the rear (unlike the original edition this is bound in, rather than in a separate folder) and "The Tunis Comment." This edition includes the short but interesting "Note" by Hymenaeus Beta that also appeared in the 93 Publishing version published the same year. A bit of ordinary shelf wear, cover edges rubbed with light bumps to corners, edges of text block a little darkened and lightly foxed, inside covers lightly foxed and a hint of foxing to a few pages. Still at tight, clean VG copy. Item #68421
