Hastings and Men of Letters.

Hastings: Old Hastings Preservation Society, 1971. Revised Edition. Softcover. Small octavo. 52pp, Stapled printed wrappers, name index, street index. A revised edition of this reference book published in Hastings, England to acknowledge its literary associations - and which includes a paragraph on Aleister Crowley in light of his residence at "Netherwood" the last few years of his life. The author indicates that "Crowley's brief connection to Hastings adds spice" to his survey and thus Crowley is also mentioned on the cover along with notables, such as: Lord Byron, Lewis Carroll, Rider Haggard and John Keats. This copy is from the library of British artist, writer and musician DAVID TIBET (founder of the music group Current 93) and has his OWNERSHIP SIGNATURE on the first blank. Covers slightly darkened at spine, a bit rubbed at edges, a few light creases - else a tight, unmarked VG+ copy. Item #68467
