Item #68533 The Magical Revival. Kenneth GRANT, Aleister Crowley related.
The Magical Revival.

The Magical Revival.

London: Skoob Books Publishing, 1991. First corrected Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. viii+ 244pp. Black cloth with silver title, etc. to spine, silver star to upper board, illustrations, glossary, bibliography and index. First published in 1972, "The Magical Revival" was the first book in what became Grant's first "Typhonian Trilogy," in which he posited links between various ancient traditions and the occult practices of Aleister Crowley, Austin Osman Spare, Dion Fortune etc. Oddly one of the rarest of the Skoob / Grant editions. The text itself is a exact reprint of the 1972 First Edition, although it has a previously unpublished Foreword by Kenneth Grant, and a number of errors present in the first edition have been identified in this edition, and listed both in sittu and on an errata page. Pages lightly toned, faintest bruising to upper spine, bookshop sticker on rear pastedown and rear inner jacket flap, a couple of very faint spots of browning to page fore-edge -- otherwise a tight, unmarked near Fine copy in better than VG dust jacket (Dust jacket has just a little light shelf rubbing to panels and a hint of chafing & creasing to edges. Now protected by a removable mylar sleeve.). Item #68533
