Full brown skiver with gilt stamping, in brown cloth slip case. 33 illustrations. Red Gilt endpapers. The "special" issue of the "Codex Vasculum" edition of "Ars Philtron." This was by far the most limited of the different issue, with this copy being Number 2 of only 11 copies issued thus "for private distribution." Loosely inserted is a nicely printed illustrated booklet, stapled in gold card covers, of "The Vineyard of the Resurrection." It is described by Xoanon as "a mystery text" and this is copy No. 2 of only 19 issued (the first 11 accompanying the correspondingly-numbered copies of the "special" issue of the "Codex Vasculum. " The "Edition Codex Vasculum" - in its various manifestations - was a greatly expanded second edition of "Ars Philtron." The work examines "Wortcunning and Sabbatic-alchemical gnosis as manifested through the medium of potion-making. Its text treats of the eight principal Sabbatic-alchemic philtre types, their pharmacoepia and formulation. Evocations to aspects of the Sabbatic Guardians Lilith and Cain are also given to empower the revelation and reification of the Philtre Arcana." The author was a friend of the late Andrew Chumbley, and is presently both the Magister of the Cultus Sabbati, as well as the Verdelet of the Tradition. It is from the Cultus Sabbati, in common with Chumbley's "Azoetia," that this book is said to draw its inspiration. A few tiny natural flaws to the skiver of the binding, otherwise book and booklet in Fine condition in Near-Fine slipcase (cloth slip-case has just a hint of shelf-wear). Item #68648
