"The Arcane Magical Order of the Knights of Shambhala. An occult group founded in 1982 by Michael Magee (Lokanath Maharaj) by permission of HH Shri Gurudev Mahendranath (1911-1992) who was a guru (some say the last guru) of the Uttarakaula Tantric Order of northern India. AMOOKOS cleverly blended ancient Tantric and Western techniques and quickly grew all over the world, introducing people who would later become leaders in the occult community to Tantric philosophies and magickal techniques that were not widely known. As frequently happens, internal struggles led to a split in the group and today there are several groups that directly or indirectly owe a great deal to AMOOKOS." This material from the library of British artist, writer and musician DAVID TIBET (founder of the music group Current 93) who was for a time a member of AMOOKOS under the name Kapilanath. The documents are all well worn and shabby, a few have notes on them, etc. Still, given there ephemeral nature it is unlikely that many such groups survive, and probably no others with such an illustrious provenance. Good only condition. Item #68705
