Black & white frontispiece and 7 plates, 15 astrological charts and 4 diagrams. The first Rider publication of a book that was originally published by Stanley Nott Limited in November of the proceeding year (1936). The work itself is a general overview and introduction to Astrology. It includes astrological charts for important figures of the time Eamon de Valera, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Charles B. Cochran, Henry Ford, John Buchan, Katherine Mansfiedl, Greta Garbo, Eddie Cantor, Pablo Picasso, Charles Lindbergh, Lorenzon de Medici, Mae West, Vladimir Lenin, and Annie Besant. This copy has a typed presentation slip which suggests that it was given as a present by or two the members of and astrology class circa 1940. A few light marks and modest shelf-wear to the boards, top edge dusty, otherwise a tight clean VG+ copy in a G+ example of the uncommon dust jacket (dust jacket somewhat rubbed and darkened, chipped around the edges, a few tears, early price label on spine, now protected by removable mylar sleeve).
