The Dialogues of G. de Purucker, Report of Session Katherine Tingley Memorial Group [ Three Volume Set ].

Pasadena CA: Theosophical University Press, Circa 1970s [ Copyright 1948 ]. Reprint. Hardcovers. Small thick octavos. Three volumes (complete). Volume I: x + 416pp; Volume II: viii + 478pp; Volume III: viii + 500pp. Original red cloth with gilt lettering to spines, gilt device to upper boards, grey endpages, b&w frontisportrait in each volume. A nice hardcover edition of this work which is increasingly hard to find in a complete, matching three volume set. The author, Gottfried de Purucker (1874– 1942) succeeded Katherine Tingley as head of the Theosophical Society, Pasadena (then headquartered at Point Loma, California) from 1929-1942. This three volume set comprises a large collection of conversations between teacher and students on Theosophical occultism. The volumes are undated, save for the copyright year (1948) on the reverse of each title-page, but the books, or more specifically the dust jackets, appear to date from the 1970s (it is possible that either they are old original stock, to which the TS applied new jackets, or that they are an unspecified reprint). Small label changing the publisher's address from Covina California to Pasadena California tipped onto the title-page of each volume. Just a bit of light shelf wear, light bruising to spine ends and corners, top edges darkened, previous owner's personal bookplate on front pastedown of each volume, pages lightly toned but clean and unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG+ set in mylar protected VG+ dust jackets. (Dust jackets lightly rubbed, light creasing to folds & spine edges, price stickers and penned price over price on inner front flaps.). Item #68720
