The author, Gottfried de Purucker (1874– 1942) succeeded Katherine Tingley as head of the Theosophical Society, Pasadena (then headquartered at Point Loma, California) from 1929-1942. De Purucker wrote a number of books on Blavatsky's teachings. In this work originally published in 1932 De Purucker provides a commentary on key passages selected from Blavatsky's "The Secret Doctine". Publisher's address slip tipped onto title-page. Just a hint of light shelf wear, two small light spots to rear board, bookplate on front pastedown, pages toned but clean and unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG+ copy in mylar protected VG+ dust jacket. (Dust jacket just lightly rubbed, not price-clipped). Item #68739
